Data Support Specialist

Provides general support, data collection, reporting and reconciliation for the National School Breakfast and Lunch Programs.

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES (other duties maybe assigned):

  1. Responsible for Free or Reduced Priced Meal Application processing including verifications, data collection and related reporting.
  2. Able to assist with nutritional’s, typing menus and production
  3. Demonstrates a high level of communication skills in writing, grammar, oral communication, and listening.
  4. Prepares and assists with various state and federal reports and surveys including Child and Adult Nutrition Application, Personnel Records Form and salary/wage surveys as requested. Prepares and processes the federal reimbursement claim.
  5. Possesses advanced Microsoft Office skills, primarily Word and
  6. Demonstrates strong public relations skills, e.g. proper telephone etiquette, customer service and uses diplomacy in dealing with a variety of situations.
  7. Has working knowledge of employee policies and
  8. Performs responsibilities in a self-motivated manner; certain job functions need to be completed on a monthly or annual basis without being reminded.
  9. Must be highly organized, able to maintain accurate files and data that can be accessed
  10. Functions in a work environment that requires many pending tasks in process at all
  11. Responds positively to unexpected changes in work
  12. Maintains composure during stressful
  13. Performs various office support tasks as needed
  14. Inputs invoices for accounts payable
  15. Backup for school lunch/breakfast point of sales
  16. Assists with food service inventory and Fresh Fruits and Vegetables
  17. Assists with school lunch program
  18. Assists with procurement when
  19. Maintains social media presence under guidance from
  20. Performs other duties as assigned by

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Education Level: High School Diploma
  2. Experience Preferred: One-year related experience managing and reconciling
  3. Physical Requirements: Constant hand-eye/mind-eye coordination, hearing, Keyboarding, use of wrists, hands, fingers, speaking, typing, and Frequent filing, sitting, standing, and walking. The ability to communicate verbally and in writing is also required. Other Requirements: Applicant must possess a high degree of Responsibility, initiative, and accuracy, plus the usual office support capabilities and working knowledge of computers and office applications. Ability to maintain confidential of highly sensitive information.
